- Children are living in danger through family court delays

- In the criminal courts, victims of sexual violence and domestic abuse are having to wait until 2023 for their case to go ahead

- Victim support rep: “We’ve had people wanting to take their lives the day they’re told they have to wait another year”

- Justice delayed really is justice denied as some victims continue "living closely alongside their perpetrator"...

- Their mental health and trust in the courts system is damaged...

- And justice is less likely to be served:

- Victims and witnesses are also, increasingly, dropping out of the process because of long waits

- Judges are throwing some cases out

- On the other side of the system, people on remand are being held in prison without trial for much longer than the usual six-month limit.

- The conditions are poor - no visitors and often over 23 hours in their cells.
