With the #UCL

R16 just a few days a way I think it’s time to look over my top player picks for #UCLfantasy

I’ll break it down by position with all types of players who are must-haves, cheap and differentials!

Let’s get going!

Goalkeepers

Ederson(6.0m- 26 points)

Stats(in last 10)-
9 CS
1 assist

For UCL-
5 shots saved in 7

Don’t really need to say much about why not to have Ederson, City are on amazing defensive form and he might even be on penalty’s

. Definitely worth the 6 mil.

Szczesny(5.5m- 20 points)

Stats(in last 10)
4 CS

For UCL-
13 shots saved(2.6 on average per match)

With not a super hard match against Porto, I think he is a good option considering the likely chance of a CS and his price tag at €5.5.

There are not many cheap keepers that play so here are just a few 5.0 and below-

Bounou- 5m with 16 points- plays BVB

Reina- 4.4m with 10 points- plays(not positive)BAY

Gollini- 4.8m with 12 points- plays RMA(chance Sportiello plays)

IMO, two 5.0m+ keepers is the best option

Defenders

Kimmich(6.6m-28 points)

Stats(in last 10)-
5 CS
5 A
1 G

UCL(3 played)-
15 balls recovered(5 per match average)
1 G
3 A

Kimmich tends to play in a midfield position so he can definitely get points from attacking. A CS is likely making him a must-have!

Cancelo(5.8-30 points)

Stats(in last 10)-
8 CS
2 A
1 G

UCL Stats(4 starts)-
26 BR(6.5 average per match)
1 G

Cancelo is a great pick purely because of City’s defensive form and fixture. He can also provide attacking returns from time to time making him almost essential!

Angelino(5.4m-46 points)

Stats(in last 10)-
6 CS
2 A
1 G

UCL stats-
25 BR(4 on average per game)
3 A
3 G

The main reason I would pick Angelino is for his attacking threat. His midfield position is great for returns! Liverpool’s poor form may also lead to a CS.

Hummels(5.2m)/Romero(5.1m)

Hummels has 54 BR in 5 UCL matches which is 10.8 per game.

Romero has 72 BR in 5 which is 14.4 per game.

They both have hard fixtures where CS is unlikely, but their BR will make up for it! Ex- Romero could get no CS but 7 points!

Kounde(3.9m-20 points)

Stats(in last 10)-
7 CS
0 A
1 G

UCL Stats(5 starts)-
23 BR in 4 starts(which is 5.8 on average per game)

He is a great option to save money but he can also do you good with a CS and possibly more! Savic at 4.6m from Atletico is another cheap option.

Midfielders

Coman(8.5m-33 points)

Stats(in last 10)-
1 G
3 A

For UCL(4 starts)-
3 G
2 A
5 BR

Coman doesn’t have the best stats recently, but with Gnabry and Muller out he is one of the best Bayern midfield picks. Sane is another choice with 2 G and 2 A in his last 10.

Gundogan(6.7m- 28 points)/other City players

Stats(in last 10)-
8 G
2 A

For UCL-
2 G
22 BR(4.4 BR per match average)

Gundo is in amazing form and a gem at 6.7m! However, with Pep it is hard to tell who starts and that’s why Foden and Sterling may be good if Gundo is rested

Chiesa(7.0m-21 points)

Stats(in last 10)-
4 G

For UCL(4 started)-
1 G
1 A
7 BR

With Cuadrado possibly out for the first leg of R16, Chiesa may be one of the better Juventus mids to pick for your team.

Llorente(6.5m-28 points)

Stats(in last 10)-
3 G
5 A

For UCL-
1 G
1 A
26 BR(4.3 on average per game)

Llorente has been on great form recently and I think Atletico can definitely slot a few against Chelsea. 6.5m is also a great price considering his BR.

Forwards

Lewandowski

Don’t need stats- he is Lewa what else do you need?

Get him in your squad now!

Suarez(9.9m-7 points)

Stats(in last 10)-

1 A

For UCL(4 played)-
2 BR

He doesn’t have an impressive track record in UCL this season, but he has been unstoppable in La Liga. This amazing form combined with a Chelsea defense is bound for many goals!

En-Nesyri(7.4m-23 points)

Stats(in last 10)-
8 G

For UCL(started 3)-
4 G
1 BR

Sevilla don’t have the best fixture but Dortmund haven’t been too great defensively so I think En-Nesyri will score. He is also not a super expensive forward but can still produce good returns!

Griezmann(9.9m-16 points)

Stats(in last 10)-
7 G
4 A

For UCL(played in 5)-
2 G
4 BR

At first, I didn’t think Griezmann would be a great pick because PSG are a very tough fixture. After looking at his stats, it has made me realize he could be a good choice at 9.9m.

Several other forwards which I don’t think I need to provide stats on just because of their prominence-

Messi

Haaland

Ronaldo

All three of these players are pretty common picks and most people are aware of them so didn’t feel the need to go more in depth on them.

*Honorable mention to Oliveira who is 6.7m and a good Porto midfielder*

Pretty attacking with 5 goals and 1 assist in his last 10 matches and 3 goals in UCL this year.

Casemiro is a safe midfield option at 6.2m with 42 BR in UCL with slight chance of attacking return.
