Ok so I saw a tweet claiming anti-Zionisim was a right wing ideology. I want to explain why the whole premise of that is wrong, but I don't feel like having a war in my mentions, so I'll make a thread with comments turned off, and anyone who disagrees can simply DM me
The biggest issue is that it assumes Anti-zionism, and thus Zionism, fits neatly into Left-wing & right wing paragims, and only in absolutes. I'm going to give a left wing and right wing examples of Palestinian anti-zionism, Jewish anti-zionism, and of zionists
The PFLP is a left wing Palestinian group that's anti-zionist. Hamas is a right wing group that's anti-zionist.

Many of the Hassidic Jews that oppose Zionism are right wing. Bundism was a left wing anti-zionism movement
The Mapai were socialists, that supported the Soviet Union while the Irgun and Lehi were far right groups.

On the international stage, anti-zionism is viewed as left wing because Israel threw in with the Right wing block while the PLO sided with the Left wing
Israel allied with Turkey (pre-Erdogan), Shahist Iran, Rhodesia, South Africa, America, Australia and the UK. These are viewed as right wing countries. Various factions of the PLO sided with groups like the IRA, PKK, the Sahrawis, Cuba, and Soviet Union
This isn't to ignore that the PLO at times sided with right wingers like Saddam.

I'm leaving alot out here, but basically my points are

1. Anti-zionism isn't confined to Right or Left wing ideologies

2. Internationally Israel is viewed as a part of the Right wing block.
