Yo guys! I know I’m a little late, but here’s my thank you thread for 500 followers!

#7 - Black Panther Soundtrack
Not sure how popular this take is, but it’s at seventh not because it’s bad but because I just like Kendrick’s other albums more. Songs like “All the Stars” make it shine but there are a lot of weak points as well.

#6 - untitled, unmastered
UU is a great album undoubtedly, and tracks like Untitled 07 and Untitled 04 are great. However, the length of the album combined with occasionally repetitiveness make me put this album at 6th. Still a great album.

#5 - Overly Dedicated
I honestly think that this mixtape is one of the most slept on projects in Hip-Hop history. “Growing Apart” is one of my favorite Kendrick songs and other tracks such as “Opposites Attract” are also great. So, so underrated.

#4 - Section .80
Section .80 is such a sick album honestly. “Hiiipower” is my favorite Kendrick song ever, and other tracks like “Rigamortus” also make it shine. While it doesn’t have as much storyline as the next 3, it’s still a fun look into Kendrick and his mind.

#3 - DAMN.
I have been doing a lot of thinking about this lately. I’ve notoriously said DAMN. is my favorite album OAT, but now after TPAB and GKMC relistens, I am ready to admit it isn’t. This is, however, still an incredible album. This album has so many amazing tracks.

#2 - To Pimp a Butterfly
Often considered one of the best (if not the best) hip-hop albums ever, I have TPAB at #2. While admittedly it doesn’t have the best replay value, it flows like a river and it’s a beautiful representation of black culture. A classic.

#1 - good kid, m.A.A.d city
GKMC is the quintessential hip-hop album of the 2010s. The story of Kendrick’s early years in Compton, it just has so many ridiculously good tracks and verses. Replay value and storyline is insane.

I hope you enjoyed this thread celebrating one of my favorite artists of all time! I truly love Kendrick and do not believe he has a bad project out, but this is how I rank his works. Thank you for 500, onto the next one! Love y’all
