They prefer a criminal justice system in which white Americans have a higher incarceration rate than the overall rate in basically any other country, as long as it’s designed to oppress Black people much more

So racism is not irrational. But it’s also very clear that most white people’s absolute material circumstances would be better under multiracial social democracy.
