"Earth, water, fire, and wind. Where there is energy there is life.”~ Suzy Kassem

@One_Voice_1 is proud to present our #OVElements series.

Our goal is to highlight the elements through the lens of climate change, to help advance the reversal of the damage done to our planet.
2) Water. Approximately 69% of the world’s freshwater is stored in glaciers & ice sheets, enough to raise sea level by ~70 meters if melted.

This process has begun and is on worst-case scenario trajectory.

8) Shrinking glaciers & ice sheets due to climate change will continue to:
-reduce surface area vital for animal foraging
-decrease nutrient deposits in polar regions
-impact aquatic biodiversity
