This conflation of anti-racism with lefty-ism has to stop. One, becauses it just assumes the politicization of Black people’s very equality. (Hi. I’m not a ping pong.)

And two, just as there are plenty on the left who are sexist, guess what, folks on the left can be racist, too!
How is “there is no place for racism, sexism, ablelism, or transphobia in our newsroom” negotiable for anyplace that claims to be a credible and trustworthy news organization?
Continually getting ensnared in basic-ass arguments over whether racism exists is not good faith debate. It’s sugar in a gas tank.

We’re not doing that.

The baseline question is not “is it real” it’s “how are we telling the truth about the myriad ways it shows up?”
