Of the $90m Lincoln Project has raised, only around a third ($27m) went on campaign advertisements during the 2020 campaign, reports the Associated Press.
That leaves tens of millions of dollars that went toward expenses like production costs, overheads - and exorbitant consulting fees collected by members of the group.
During his time at the group, Schmidt, 50, purchased a $1.4m 'Mountain Modern' custom home in Kamas, Utah, with five bedrooms, seven baths and a 'stunning' view of the Uinta Mountains, according to property records and real estate listings.
He is currently trying to resell the home for $2.9m.
Another $38,000 of the Lincoln Project's money went to a private jet company, according to news reports, while more than $50m of the $90m amassed since the group's launch in November 2019 went to companies controlled by its leaders.

I talk to many of my followers who are retired some widows (a lot on here) that live on Social Security that gave to these guys cause I recommended. I own that and if it caused ANY harm, please tell me.
I believe with voice comes responsibility and why I have been far more careful with my post without backing down from #Resist and why I say we now #Persist although I will always resist this Q cult that has infiltered @GOP whose baggage has now bleed over to us.
This account is nowhere close to what I had before but I feel like it is more connected to #Resist and I am far wiser about politics. In 2015 I did not even fully understand the Electoral College but I did know what is right and what is wrong.
There is a huge amount of talent in #Resist that should be millions of followers instead of @ProjectLincoln, who they get their ideas from. PLEASE START supporting actual content makers on here instead of these PAC's. should we start charging? Would that make us more legitimate?
