In recent years, we've noticed a lot Metal Gear/Kojima fact accounts show up. But there's still a lot of obscure trivia that needs to be shared! Please join us for a thread of very rare Metal Gear deep cuts as our contribution to this trend.

Introducing: Soop Facts! (1/?)
The subtitle of MGS3 is “Snake Eater”. In the game, you can eat animals for survival, among which are snakes. It’s fair to speculate that this is tied to the name. Personally we prefer Snake Soup.
Did you know that Alaska is cold? This is an important detail in MGS1, as it takes place in Alaska.
Speaking of MGS1, did you know that there is a second disc? There is a whole another part of the game left after you beat Sniper Wolf!
Also while MGS1 has only been physically released on PlayStation and PC, it's a little known fact that the PlayStation discs still seem to work on PS2 and PS3.
Interesting: The character "Hideo" in Peace Walker, Ground Zeroes, and The Phantom Pain is a reference to game developer, Hideo Kojima. Kojima directed the game Policenauts.
In the MG series, there is a unit known as FOXHOUND, in reference to a hunting dog called a foxhound. Dogs are animals. Animals are multicellular organisms that form the biological kingdom Animalia. Animals live on planet Earth, as do humans. Possible connection to Policenauts?
Revolver Ocelot, a recurring character in the series, gets the first part of his name from a type of gun called the revolver.
In MGS2, The codename of the character "Fatman" is obviously based on the codename for the nuclear bomb detonated over Nagasaki, Japan. However, the character's name is also a problematic reference to his weight.
Keen observers might notice that in MGS2, Iroquois Plissken is actually Solid Snake in disguise.
Whew, that's enough mind‐boggling Soop Facts for now. Gonna stock up on rations. I'll let you know if I discover more!
