Going back to the first climate accord in Kyoto, the Conservative Party never believed in fighting climate change. Their latest environmental plan was a plan for less action and more pollution. Since then, @erinotoole has been silent out of fear of upsetting his base. https://twitter.com/nationalpost/status/1360067480941703168
If the CPC are serious about this, I trust they’ll call upon Conservative premiers to stop fighting pollution pricing in court and start fighting climate change. I trust they’ll stop opposing our ban on single-use plastics that are polluting the places that Canadians love.
I trust they’ll stop misrepresenting the Clean Fuel Standard, which will clean up the fuels we use and the air that we breathe. I trust they’ll stop suggesting that 🇨🇦’s emissions are too small to matter, or that we should get special treatment because we’re a big, cold country.
I trust they’ll recognize that an economy that doesn’t decarbonize will lose investment and good Canadian jobs. And I trust that there will be no more excuses, no more calls for delay.  @erinotoole — I wait at the edge of my seat.
