#rays have done a nice job building a pitching staff that is designed based on the unusual dynamics of a 2021 season. Not having a solid base of innings from 2020 makes for an interesting 162 -
/ #rays - If the pitching plan works - allows for McKay to come back at a less rushed pace and allows others to build base of innings in less stressful AAA environment
/ building the base for spot MLB work and end of season help for McClanahan - Patino - Honeywell - Ryan - McKay - others is very important
/ #rays and other teams won’t have the luxury of adding depth arms in September as I believe roster cap of 28 will be in effect. Pace arms all year and the additions of Archer - Wacha - Hill - McHugh provide time as well as innings (hopefully effective innings)
/if #rays get 120 innings from any of their FA signings they would be thrilled - if they all reach the finish line that would also be impressive - hopefully pitchers don’t get injured at same rate as 2020!
