As I've been researching for my next book, i've been thinking Autism can best be summed up as a neurotype of very deliberative, detail-oriented processing, compared to what neurotypicals do, which is take things in holisitically, and follow fast intuition & heuristics
Here's the title and author of the article by the way. Away from a computer but i can type it up later.
The @autisticats already have a great thread on the detail-oriented processing piece and how it relates to sensory sensitivities. But hoping to post more about the deliberative processing element and how that affects us cognitively & socially later https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1343993141146378241.html
