being built up to be the embodiment of your father’s dreams and then pushed aside as broken and “not good enough” 
touya and natsuo probably neglected the most, which is why they likely feel the strongest and had the strongest rapport with each other as siblings

endeavour did inadvertently create touya, that’s a fair claim to make tbh. of course it doesn’t mean he drove him down the path of villainy and dropped him off at m*rder school but his actions and neglect were what led to...well, everything
it’s complicated tho, wonderfully complicated. bc yeh, dabi could have given up, taken edv’s counsel and tried to live a normal life...if he wasn’t already imbued with that desire for greatness, the one edv had fed him with, and then become disillusioned at SUCH a young age
