Ok, a little bit of a Palace related rant to make myself feel better.
The thing that doesn't make sense to me is:
We have an ageing squad with countless bods out of contract in the summer. We have a manager who almost certainly knows he won't be here next year.

Why would the players risk going all out and causing themselves an injury which could impede them getting a new deal either with us or elsewhere. They have zero incentive to run through walls, and it's showing. Horrendously.
Surely the sensible thing to do would be to say thanks Roy for keeping us safe over the years, bye bye. Get in a new manager for the rest of the season who can begin to get a feel of the club and players, and can choose which players he wants to be there next year
and at the same time gives him an early idea of areas he wants to strengthen in the summer transfer window. Immediately you've given the players out of contract an incentive to earn themselves a new deal, and given the entire club a headstart on next season.
Instead, we'll plod along with Roy, surviving again, but boring everyone to fucking tears in doing so, and then come end of season, players will leave without a new manager having had a chance to see what they could have done.
I've spent most of today out at work thinking about what possible reason there would be for us not to do that. Whether we sack Roy or not, he'll still earn his dough until the end of this season, so all I can see is horrendous mismanagement from above leaving us unprepared.
Any past season I'd be absolutely buzzing the entire week leading up to Brighton, but right now I'm absolutely delighted I'm working a night shift next Monday meaning I won't be watching. That's what it's come to. Pathetic
