Rolls are kinda like albums. By default, your camera doesn’t shoot to any roll. It shoots to the “My Library” tab.

Do I need to shoot to Rolls?It’s safest to start out by shooting *without* selecting any Rolls on the camera screen. You can always add photos to Rolls after the fact by going to a photo in your Library and clicking the 3 dots in the top right.
Roles within RollsThe person who creates a Roll is the “moderator” and can remove any photos or people from it. Any member of a Public Roll can invite people to join, but only the creator of a Private Roll can invite people to the Private Roll.
I accidentally shot photos into someone’s Roll by accident. What now?It’s fine. Once the photo develops either you or the moderator can remove the image.
If it’s sensitive and you don’t want anyone to see it though, I think the only way to remove it is to leave the Roll.
What’s the fire emoji?Basically it’s your streak, kinda like snapchat. If you take photos each day, the streak will continue. Your profile has a streak, but then each individual Roll has a streak too.
How do I get more invites?Based on the official FAQ, it sounds like you get more invites each morning if you’re out—that or they distribute more invites to some amount of people each morning.
Does the Roll icon color matter?Based on my limited testing, the color of a Roll’s icon is purely for decor. It has no impact on the look of the photo. I’d be shocked if they didn’t add special filter rolls or something in the future though.
What happens if I leave a Roll?All your contributions to the Roll are removed, but you still have the photos within your Library. Don’t leave if you don’t want your work disappearing from the Roll. If a moderator removes you, your photos will be removed too.
How do I know what a Roll creator’s intention was for the purpose of the Roll?Currently the only cues we have to go off of are the Roll name and description. Access the description by clicking on a Roll and then clicking the Roll icon in the top right. Add responsibly!
Scoreboard/SuperlativesEach Roll has a Scoreboard tab which shows who has taken the most photos. Then there’s a Superlatives section with emojis, here’s what they mean:
Who liked the most
Who has the most likes
Who comments the most
Who has the most comments
