Request for input!

Okay, some of the campaign groups are having a meeting v soon to talk about the response to the census mess.

One of the ideas emerging, and it's my preferred option, is that we answer 'No' to the GI question, and then write something in the text box.

I think it is really important that we write a standardised response, because

a) then it will register clearly as a protest,
b) we will actually be able to get a headcount of us and
c) I don't think we should fuck up the data, given we are protesting about data integrity,

and also it will be bad optics, and also I do actually want there to be a robust headcount of the trans population, both for their needs and ours (and yes, I know TRAs are treating us with contempt over this, but, take the high road and all that).

Soooo, I'd be interested in your thoughts on this and also on what we should write in the text box.

My preferred option is just 'feminist'... because that makes the point that the wording of the question in its present form is sexist.. and i.e. implies 'my gender doesn't match

my sex because gender is bullshit' and we could include that in the messaging around the protest.

I've seen some other suggestions, including 'adult human female'... although that might run into seeming to imply that we think that's a GI, which given the sex/gender conflation

going on might muddy things further.
