#FramingBritneySpears shone a light on Britney's current strugle, but some gaps were left. This is something more you need to know about her conservatorship.

Lou Taylor is the founder and CEO of Tri Star, that started out in Nashville, TN. According to herself, she's "a leader in the business management industry and consistently strides ahead of her competitors."
Her list of clients includes names such as Reba McEntire, Florida Georgia Line, Mary J. Blige, JLo, Priyanka Chopra, Gwen Stefani, Steven Tyler and, until 2020, Britney Spears.
Lou's very in touch with her spirituality. Her husband ministers at Calvary Chapel Brentwood, TN.
Lou's very in touch with her spirituality. Her husband ministers at Calvary Chapel Brentwood, TN.
In 2006, US Weekly ran a little story about how Britney's family had supposedly hired a Christian coach to pressure Britney into abandoning Kabbalah and embracing Christianity. For now this might seem confusing, but it might have something to do with what happened next.
The first time Lou was introduced to us was in August 2006. She was a guest on a spiritual talk show and presented herself as Jamie Lynn Spears' manager. Britney's mom was living with Jamie Lynn while working on the set for Zoey 101.
On October 29, 2007, word is out that Britney's mom is working on a book. It'd be published by Thomas Nelson, a Christian-focused imprinter. Also headquartered in Nashville, TN. And the publisher for Lou's book, "The Becoming Devotional Bible." (Notice Mitch Martin's name)
In July 2007, supposedly after visiting the Zoey 101 set in Malibu, Britney emailed her lawyer voicing her concerns on a creepy stalker. "I don't know her she is a stalker," and "now she is saying she is going to visit my drunk father in Kentwood," Britney wrote.
Lou told Britney she was possessed by a gay demon and suggested an "exorcism" in an email directed to an address given by Britney's father. Britney sarcastically tried to play her off by claiming she was a gay man named Jack preparing his wedding.
We've all wondered if the lady who told Britney in 2007 to "go to the light and see Jesus" was Lou...
On early January 2008, on Britney's first involuntary psychiatric hold, Lou made herself known publicly for the first time. She talked to TODAY and presented herself as a representative for the Spears family (minus Britney).
On the next 5150, this time in late January, Lou was there with... Jamie, just to make sure he was strong during such a difficult time... for him. https://twitter.com/BritneyHiatus/status/1341864356460388353?s=20
In September 2008, the book "Through the Storm: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World" was released. Lynne Spears thanked Lou Taylor on page 208 for "believing I had a story to tell," and for "making it happen."
But we'll keep it simple and direct. Lynne claimed on it that Lou was a) Jamie's business manager and b) she helped Jamie to file for conservatorship.
That might explain how Jamie's lawyers told the court "Louise Taylor" was present in initial January 2008 conversations on setting up a conservatorship with Jamie's current legal team. Images by @lawyersforbrit
Also, Lynne mentions Lou Taylor had the brilliant idea to send a pregnant Jamie Lynn to a place eerily similar to Mercy Ministries (what is it? Stay up for the next chapters!) https://twitter.com/EatPrayBritney/status/1301351499331776512?s=20
That information corroborates a text message conversation with Britney in October 2008, supposedly sent in through burner phones she had to hide away from her father and team. "I hate [Lou]," "she's a holy roly freak," "she tried to send jamie lynn away when she was pregnant."
Britney's already under a conservatorship. On Tri Star’s website, Jamie Lynn and Jamie Spears (Britney’s conservator at the time) were listed as Lou’s clients in 2009. Britney’s Circus Tour was also listed as being managed by Tri Star.
Lou wasn't satisfied with only Britney as a forced client. In recent years, Courtney Love has revealed that Lou Taylor tried a conservatorship on her as well. In 2009, a couple months shy of turning 18, Frances Bean Cobain's custody was taken from Courtney by Jamie's legal team.
The judge was the same that placed Britney on a conservatorship. This move came after Courtney had criticized Jamie Spears hold over his daughter on Facebook.
In 2010, we learned that Lindsay Lohan was Lou Taylor's next target after Britney. She became La Lohan's business manager and X17 got hold of the tidbit that Lou and Dina Lohan were planning a c-ship for LiLo as well.
Michael Lohan, Lindsay’s father, spoke out against the hostile takeover Lou and Dina were planning. Lou’s modus operandi was the same as Britney’s: the same managers (Larry Rudolph and Adam Leber), same lawyers (Blair Berk) and same doctors (Marmer and Lee Sadja).
On March 25, 2011, Lou Taylor and Tri Star are officially named as part of Britney's team on the Femme Fatale booklet for the first time.
5 days later, Britney, Jamie and Lou Taylor would be named in a lawsuit made by Brand Sense, a company which was working on a licensing deal with Elizabeth Arden on Britney's perfume line. They claimed Jamie & Lou were cutting them off the deal without their knowledge.
Brand Sense wanted Britney to depose to prove the conservatorship was a sham. After all, someone so incapacitated as to be a probate conservatee couldn't even depose, much less perform, give interviews and record albums. They weren't able to make that happen (but hold on).
On July 22, 2011 it's reported that Britney's conservators zeroed out The Britney Spears Foundation, a charity mainly set up to fund Britney's performing arts camp in Massachusetts. The remaining assets of the foundation went as donations to Mercy Ministries and Cri Help (rehab).
The news raised flags for some, as Lou Taylor, Britney's then-business manager, had strong links to Mercy Ministries, a Christian program for women with issues such as eating disorders, depression, self-harm, abuse issues, drug/alcohol addictions, teen pregnancies, etc.
Lou Taylor, Rob Taylor and Niki Taylor (not related, it's the super model) are well known supporters of Mercy Multiplied (before, Mercy Ministries). Here's a picture of the three and Nancy Alcorn, founder and president of Mercy Multiplied.
Why is this unsettling? Mercy Ministries renamed themselves Mercy Multiplied due to being home to various scandals. Things go so bad inside their camps that former residents created networks called "Mercy Survivors."
It is reported that some girls have been "exorcised" for not being heterosexual and there have been reports of abuse on pregnant teens. Which takes me back to these two points... Anyways,
When #FreeBritney blew up in early 2019, when Britney had been involuntarily hospitalized, “Britney” posted a video saying "all is well" on Instagram breaking a long lull of months. In the caption, however, she mentions “fake emails” by Sam Lutfi in a way unusual for her.
After the voicemail, Lou's role became widely known and fan outcry followed. In response, she SUED a fan who made a site dedicated to report news easily found on google. Funnily enough, Taylor had hired a private detective who impersonated Sam Lutfi, trying to lure out the fan.
The lawyer Lou hired to sue a fan was the same one Jamie Spears (on behalf of Britney) hired to file yet another restraining order on Sam Lutfi in 2019. Reminder that one cannot use a conservatee’s finances to finance personal issues! https://twitter.com/MeanerThree/status/1314035694453522433
Britney’s team seems to have a knack for suing and threatening concerned fans throughout the years, starting in 2009 with BreatheHeavy’s owner, Jordan Miller. Another fansite owner, Anthony Elia, was also sued for questioning her team’s social media strategy in 2019.
In 2019, after Jamie Spears, again, filed a restraining order on Sam Lutfi, Lou responded to comments on Instagram, claiming the “emails are fake”. This leads fans to be even surer that Lou was behind Britney’s “all is well” Instagram caption.
Sam Lutfi sends a Cease and Desist letter to Lou Taylor after the episode. https://twitter.com/SurpriseWitnes/status/1296646016272392194?s=20
Cracks related to the (mis?)management of Britney’s estate started showing. Remember Mitch Martin, the other briefly mentioned higher up at Tri Star? Well, both were also at the helm of Stonebridge, a high-profile wealth manager. This thread details it: https://twitter.com/SurpriseWitnes/status/1359944264667566082
It’s a post #FreeBritney world and there's scrutiny on the courts. In September 2020, Sam Ingham (Britney's lawyer) says Tri Star, Britney’s accountants, had stopped paying him – coincidently just as Ingham’s started to fight for Britney’s wishes. https://twitter.com/BritneysGram/status/1306349106290335745
As @AdamStreisand mentioned in #FramingBritneySpears, Britney’s one wish was to not have her dad as conservator since the onset. Ingham ignored that until 2020, when the bombastic court filing came up, stating that Britney appreciated the informed fan support & wanted Jamie out.
Additionally, Tri Star (Lou) tried to cut off someone from a deal again. Unbeknownst to Britney’s lawyer, they raised their fees to $500,000 a year. Ingham would only learn of the new agreement 6 months later. https://twitter.com/BritneyHiatus/status/1305694018932674560?s=20
Robin Greenhill is a Tri Star employee and Britney's assistant. https://twitter.com/BritneyHiatus/status/1305694018932674560?s=20
Lou Taylor and her company Tri Star resigned as Britney's business manager (that Britney never hired) in November 2020, without prior notice to Britney. Jamie selected Michael Kane as the new business manager to Britney, again, without any notice to Britney.
Anyways, it was not only Lou working at Tri Star or for Britney, at least while trapped on a conservatorship. Here’s some pictures of Dina LaPolt (entertainment lawyer close to Lou) and Larry Rudolph (Britney’s longtime manager); Robin Greenhill and Lou. Then Dina + Lou.
And lots of pictures with Jamie Spears! (And Rob Taylor, Jamie Lynn). But there is not a single time Britney was pictured or seen with any of them.
Well, maybe there is a picture of Lou and Britney together. This is an unbothered Britney passing by a starstruck Lou during Britney's GLAAD speech and award acceptance.
To sum it all up, Lou M. Taylor used a religious context to prey on gullible parents wanting to shape their grown children. She slowly took over Britney's estate without any say from Britney - she only manipulated her parents.
Regarding the conservatorship, I question whether it is legal and ethical to:
a) become your grown daughter's conservator and let your own business manager take over your daughter's estate.
b) use Britney's estate to fund """charities""" you are fond of and ignore her wishes.

c) use a father's gullibility to charge abusive fees amid a fan-led movement that’s putting scrutiny on your actions.
d) plan a conservatorship on an unwell person, only to sign them on multimillionaire projects like a world tour, just as soon as the conservatorship is approved.

on the last point, three entities tried to get Britney to depose under a cship, one of them being Brand Sense. The other two were Britney's ex-manager Johnny Wright and Sam Lutfi. The point we've been making totally holds up because Lutfi actually got Britney to depose.
In 2016, Lutfi got an incapacitated conservatee to depose. Britney's camp argued that would cause Britney a lot of distress and that she wouldn't be able to think properly. However, Britney was described as "calm and collected" during her deposition.
A probate c-ship is meant for people non compos mentis - people with Alzheimer's, e.g. Despite the fact we don't know anything about Britney's medical records, nor should we ever demand to know, it's extremely ridiculous that someone legally in a coma could testify in a court.
Lastly, Courtney Love and Lindsay Lohan were able to ward off conservatorships. Lindsay eventually fired Lou Taylor as business manager.
And what about Amanda Bynes? She's actually still under a conservatorship.
And what about Amanda Bynes? She's actually still under a conservatorship.
Amanda Bynes was initially put on a LPS conservatorship in 2013. It means it's specific to mental health issues. However, eventually it clearly was upgraded to a probate one.
In 2016, Amanda's conservatorship of the estate was dismissed, but she was still under a conservatorship of the person. Amanda's mom still was overseeing the decisions regarding Amanda's medical treatment.
After 2020, when Amanda's request to marry was denied and she went back to a mental health facility, my trail got cold. I do not know if the estate conservatorship was restored or even if the person conservatorship was extended beyond 2020.
I did not research this case as much as I have Britney's, but a few things are similar. Amanda was deemed gravely disabled, but also was able to testify under oath. It's important to note we don't know her medical records either.
Did Lou have anything to do with Amanda, though? As far as I've researched, no. Judges, lawyers, most of the players had nothing to do with Lou, Tri Star, Blair Berk, Vivian Thoreen, Geraldine Wyle, Jeryll Cohen etc. HOWEVER!
The only point in common in all of these c-ships was Sam Lutfi. Lutfi tricked Amanda into flying from NYC to LA & shortly after Bynes was involuntarily hospitalized, which allowed her parents to be granted a c-ship. After a job done, the parents severed ties with Lutfi.
Anything beyond that has no relation. Anyways, I stress that I did not research this case as much as Britney's nor do I have the same resources.
It is of note that Amanda has not been subjected to a gruesome work routine while on a conservatorship. She was allowed to finish her fashion studies per her wishes. Most of her time during a conservatorship was spent inside mental health facilities.
I stress again that we don't know her medical records and TMZ's sources are not to be taken at face-value, as we've learned from Britney's case. Thus, I'm inclined to say it's very likely Lou didn't have anything to do with Amanda's conservatorship. Confirmation is required.

Additionally, I maintain a Google Drive with everything I could collect related to the case. It's outdated, but I believe it's still useful. People are free to add and edit, but not disrupt. https://drive.google.com/drive/u/1/folders/11yrh8ellU6_WhSjG1SDi3oJj1ktop71O

Another very valuable source I used was investigative journalist Carmela Kelly's https://fairnewsspears.wordpress.com/ . She noticed the inconsistencies in Britney's case and dabbled in Courtney's case as well. Unfortunately, she hasn't updated it since 2011. The content is still to see:
