The word, “conviction,” is an interesting one. Though one man, clearly a failed US President, has escaped conviction by the Senate for his shameful words & actions...

It’s another man who I believe has the sincere #Conviction to lead our country forward. @POTUS #OneV1

Let’s not forget, the people have already spoken. Spoken with their votes. Not just in big cities, but all across our country.

I have faith in #PresidentBiden & #VicePresidentHarris, and in all of the hardworking, honest people who work in our Congress and in our Senate.

Also, I have faith in each and every one of us: Doctors, lawyers, judges... in #SocialJustice leaders, journalists, in teachers... I have faith in mothers, daughters, in Black voters, in liberals, in progressives, & in the younger generations. I have faith in you.

Sure, there will always be those, stuck with their feet in the cement of the past, in racism, in good-ol-boy belief systems, in a patriarchal (not patriotic) glue that has hardened like resin around their hearts, souls, and their minds.

But I also know, there have been US Heroes of the past. Ordinary people who do extraordinary things, who make changes that impact thousands of lives, and our future. #AbrahamLincoln #MLK

So, tonight, I leave DJT in the hands of the criminal justice system, and I plan to move forward, to have hope, and focus on the future. One I can be proud of & one I will be an active part in. #ONEV1
