newsflash assholes: you don't get a choice as to what you're a part of in life. you're brought into this world without any agreement, and you're buffeted about by forces of history and nature until eventually time unceremoniously dumps you into your grave
you're minding your own business, you're at a party, you're in a grocery store, you're driving in your car — and something happens: a crime, a sin, an accident. you're now a part of it. doesn't matter if you like it or not. your only choice is how to react.
