Thread 1/many: (hopefully!) short enough, on the last 48 hours re: Denise Chaila's YouTube video for her latest single release, and the coordinated racist abuse in the comments, the tactics used, and how it can be suppressed in future...
1/2 I don't want to denigrate Denise's most recent experience as some kind of case study, this is just the latest pile-on she has experienced of many, but thankfully (and belatedly) the outcome was a bit different for her transgressors.
1/3 Whilst the woman who orchestrated this particular hate-crime has not yet been identified by her surname, activists have coordinated & have multiple photos of her (one below) and also infiltrated her accounts on far-right platforms where she and other fascists 'feel safe' 🤫
1/4 Using handles like 'Ulster_Rose' or 'Irish_Rose' do not protect you from being doxxed. We are following you on every platform, we are exchanging messages with you in DM's on Gab, Telegram & Twitter, and you don't even know it. Going private / locking your a/c is pointless.
1/5 To emphasise how useless your 'privacy settings' are on social media, here is just one example of a Twitter account that pissed it pants in excitement at yesterdays racism. We have photos of inside his house that they carelessly shared on an older account.
1/6 Oh yeah? You blocked 48,796 liberal, lefty, Cultural Marxist, Jewish accounts, did you? You should have gone the extra mile, to 48,797 - a Tweet from last week...
1/7 The biggest threat to my country are Irish fascists, they deactivate their accounts or get suspended, but they're still active on far-right platforms, "I'm taking a break on Twitter, so I can be an unhindered full blown Nazi on Telegram and Gab".
1/8 Back to the start of this thread, there was a great mobilisation of anti-racists in response to the racists abusing Chaila, they got put in their box finally. This approach should be built upon.
1/9 If you're a member of any faux-political fascist party in Ireland that contributed to attacking Irish people like Denise, you can stand your ground, that's your right, but we're going to make sure you lose your income, and your reputation.
1/10 Any Irish-based social media account that involves itself in pile-ons against Irish artists or politicians shoud be prepared lose their job and family.
1/11 We will fuck you up, and you will lose your jobs.
