Nicolas was shooting for *Face/Off* when he wasn't on the sets of Con Air . both movies had action to go for and made it easier for him to switch between sets , the complexity of his character made him more serious on the set while Travolta enjoyed his part.

Just like John Woo likes his movies to be real action filled , he avoided CGI in Face/Off too.Which meant that the graphic face swapping surgery scene was supposed to be done on some actual latex body replicas of the lead actors to give it more genuine touch.

The legendary boat chase scene from the climax was actually the first scene to be shot from the movie. John Woo went all out with his craft and produced such a spectacle that the people at Paramount went nuts and increased the budget of the movie by a lot đŸ€—.
