Thread on why Manchester United will never win the league under the Glazers...
To start with, we all know that the Glazers have used Manchester United as a cash cow. They've taken out over £1 billion from our club during their time here, whilst also employing the EPL's worst CEO (Ed Woodward).

Under Woodward's leadership, we've wasted £1 billion on players
The truth is that a lot of these players have been failures, which makes the fees we pay for them look even worse. Liverpool, in 2016-19, had a fantastic success rate, but even they had players like Keita, who haven't worked as well as they would have liked.
However, their comes a point where a club's transfer policy must be called into question. Players like Fellaini, Falcao, Di Maria, Memphis, Schneiderlin, Schweinsteiger, Mkhitaryan, Lukaku, Fred, Maguire, and James are all examples of players signed without any calculation.
To make matters worse, I didn't even mention Alexis. This is because he deserves a tweet for himself. During the festive period, Anthony Martial was having a splendid time from the left-wing, so the need for an established LW wasn't present.
According to Woodward, however, we needed a box-office player and so we ended up trading Mkhitaryan for Alexis. He took the #7 shirt and ended up as one of the biggest flops the EPL had ever seen. On £400k p/w, he was the highest paid player, and he was arguably the worst.
Another topic that should be discussed is the failure to back managers in the transfer market. Okay, I know I've just said we've spent £1 billion on transfers, but the truth is that a large portion of those players were not of the manager's liking.
The best example is where we signed Angel Di Maria in 2014, for a British transfer record. Di Maria had just received MOTM in a UCL final for Real Madrid, which would have been an attraction to many. However, it was obvious that he would only leave for money.
Of course, Woodward jumped at the opportunity to bring in a Hollywood name to the club, when LVG didn't even want him. In that same summer, we ended up signing Falcao on deadline day, who had just come back from a serious injury.

Where is the planning behind these signings?
To make it clear, Woodward and the Glazers only have the ambition to play UCL football each year, regardless of whether we have a chance to win it. An example is this current season. OGS was given Fernandes to help push for a Top 4 spot, which we managed to achieve.
Having secured that crucial UCL spot, we needed to add a RW, CB, and DM to help go for a title charge this season. What actually happened was that we were the last team in the EPL to sign someone (VDB) and Ole didn't even want him.
We then waited until deadline day, where we panicked and bought 4 players. Telles was a good deal, as he has helped spark Luke Shaw's rise to becoming England's best LB. Cavani, who has also been great, wasn't a planned deal. Finally, Diallo and Pellistri are kids so let's see...
We don't know whether they'll make it, but we certainly hope they do.

Ultimately, we failed to land any of our 3 priority positions (CB, RW, and a DM). We tried to haggle with BVB for Sancho, and we were left embarrassed. There was also no intention to bring in a CB/DM.
To cap off an underwhelming window, we had a net spend of under £40 million, which is a shambles considering the money we generate and the money that goes to the Glazers for dividends.

It is this mentality from the board which is why we fail year in, year out.
To summarise, the Glazer's fail to provide the funds when it's needed the most, and they've let Ed Woodward waste over £1 billion on player's that the manager's have never wanted.

The fact that we managed to be top for 2 weeks is testament to Ole's man-management.
We were down and out after 3 games, yet, since we beat Everton 3-1, we went on a ridiculous streak to help reach 2nd place.

Regardless of whether we win a trophy this season, I have no faith in this board to deliver the signings we need to secure #21.
