I understand people are hurting & need relief. However, the Republic itself should not be compromised for any piece of short-term legislation Let's see how the next few years play out. Today may have been the beginning of the end for us as a constitutional Republic. (1/3)
The last 3 months prove how fragile our institutions are & the weakness of our leaders. A more competent Authoritarian con-man than Trump can and will take us over the edge based on how this has played out. This is more important than ANY cabinet choices or legislation. (2/3)
The next time, THEY WILL undermine confidence in the election, THEY WILL disenfranchise voters, THEY WILL sow discord, THEY WILL coordinate in a more disciplined fashion & THEY WILL steal or overturn an election. We failed to hold them accountable, so THEY WILL do it again. (3/3)
