My fundamental question if I were voting in the @nvdems chair election is: What role would the Laborers Union the #1 financial donor to the party, yet does not share our values as progressives continue to hold in the Democratic Party? @tsegerblom @jkwhitmer3
How does the Democratic Party allow the same Union that has a GOP PAC, funds 2 Republicans on the Las Vegas City Council, has been investigated for irregularities with its retirement fund, investigated for discrimination against minorities in hiring, still control our party?
How does the Democratic Party in good conscience as we have watched our progressive leaders notably women get harassed by Lou DiSalvio and Tommy White continue to let them call the shots on the agenda?
The next term for this chair will be a test of our progressive values do we continue with epic Raider Stadium too big to fail taxpayer funded agendas or directly help those who struggle as the platform moving forward? That platform needs to be fierce not the same old appeasement.
So there you have it. The new State party chair can either throttle down the outrage and keep the demands of working people in their polite cage, or empower the masses to fight for the social justice long overdue in Nevada.
