Professional Therapist Twitter can get lost.

I'm a neurodivergent practitioner, and I make space for that. I will eat in session. I will drink in session. I will turn off my video in session bc of my photophobia. I don't have a problem making room for myself. You know why?
bc when I make room for myself, clients will know they have permission to do the same.
I don't make the session about me. But I'm not going to abandon my access needs either just because I'm in a power role.
Other ND things that I make room for with clients:

-accidental double booking
-difficulty with email interaction
-taking at least 8 sessions to feel comfy with someone.

I tell all my clients these things first session with the assurance that I will take responsibility for
double booking & email & ways that may harm them. I recognize that those are ways my ND stuff shows up, and I tell them if I double book them, they will not be charged, and I will do my best to reschedule them within 24 hours. I don't make it something they need to take care of.
But I also am honest and clear about this is how my brain works. I have no interest in forcing my brain to work the way our capitalist system does. I take responsibility for how it affects them as clients.
I want clients to make space for themselves, I want them to notice their own access needs. If a client says (and they have) "hey I have trouble responding to texts, you may have to double text me" I would be like "RAD you told me!" without trying to change it.
That just tells me "hey cool, they communicate in a way that most NT people don't" and move on. Maybe we have to negotiate how to meet each other, but to me, that's DISABILITY JUSTICE, folks.
