The notion that a violin is an instrument but a laptop can never be is incredibly counterfactual. I want music schools to thrive for decades to come, and an important part of that is recognizing that wonderful music is being created with no acoustic instruments whatsoever.

And in general, universities presenting themselves as a place of musical expertise and higher learning while remaining ignorant to the methods used to produce the most-consumed music on the planet seems... wrong.
