Patience, failure, YEARS of rejection letters, not listening when hosts spoke because I was rushing the joke and being selfish.
I was either too funny, too serious, too unpredictable, not mainstream, not sellable.

And then @halanderson came into my life.
My brand of weird scratched his funny bone.
He gave me a voice. My real voice.
The way he handles interviews, the tough ones, is pure art. To be strong, vulnerable, to really listen and quick. He taught me it all. #WorldRadioDay

And then there was @BusyBarkley
This guy worked a grueling split shift for DECADES! Did he ever let on he was tired, never.
Always kind, upbeat and the listener wasn’t the wiser.
He taught me that for that 1 minute or 5 minutes you are getting my very best #WorldRadioDay

And then there is this beast @CBCMarcy we’ve been friends since 1999. But on that first day someone said “That Marcy, she’s the exact same on and off the air” which is the highest compliment. And I think about being like The Markusa every time the mic opens #WorldRadioDay
