i know it’s hard to take an opposing or even critical stance on medical transition as someone who has never been through it. you’re told time and time again everything from “people just want to feel comfortable in their body” to “people will kill themselves en masse without it”
you want to be empathetic and understanding towards people who’s experiences you don’t understand. you don’t want to be a bigot. you don’t want to impose. it comes from a good place.
but you have to understand that you’ve been manipulated by a medical industry loaded with corruption and ideological capture. and so have many of the people seeking these hormonal treatments and surgeries. the devastation that litters places like r/detrans will make that clear.
i’m not telling you what to think, i’m not saying you’re a bad person if you don’t agree with me as someone who’s pretty hard line against medical transition in most cases. i’m saying that if you want to actually have an informed view you need to see the other side of the story.
you need to see the side that has 22 year olds with their lives and health completely destroyed beyond repair. you need to face that immense discomfort and darkness and make your own mind up on whether you think these practices are ethical.
look at these stories and look at what doctors and mental health practitioners who oppose this have to say. no more fear of being emotionally manipulated by bad actors in the medical industry and gender activism. no more fear of being called a bigot for thinking for yourself.
