It's just so exhausting.
But being exhausted isn't the same thing as giving up.
We just did something historic in the middle of a pandemic, itself historic. I'm not throwing in any towels, despite what "leaders" and pundits think and do, no matter their betrayals.

I'm just a regular shmegular person, who cares.
But what's different for me, now, might be true for a lot of people. I have friends who died because of Trump and his sycophants. Not in some hyperbolic way. I mean, they're dead because of decisions these people made.

In what moral universe would it ever be acceptable for me to give up holding these people accountable for their crimes, even if my "leaders" lack the will to do the right thing?
There are so many people in this country that are owed justice, and that justice will be fair.

I'm not looking for vengeance, or petty cruelty, or executions or any of the things the right wing in this country has wished on me.
I want justice, a country made proper, a people made whole, because justice is love made public, as someone taught me.
I will live to see this.

I'm not a believer in big cosmic forces, or destiny, I think we make our own choices.
But I'm here, and that means, I can do something to make the world a better place.
Even if my leaders give up, I will keep climbing.
