So now that the Senate has decided not to pursue the facts of what happened on January 6, it will be up to Federal prosecutors in their various cases agains the "Oath Keepers", 3%ers and other treasonous "militias" to uncover the plans behind the attack.

As for Trump, the best we can ask for is a commission to investigate and report later. Seeing that he was nearly put on a ventilator, I don't think his health will support another run for the White House in 2024. But I'd like to see him pursued in full in courts in GA & NY.

Also, de-platforming Trump from social media looks like it largely worked to get him and his loudest backers out of the public limelight. The media should stop chasing sad substitutes like MTG.

I joke a lot about "Outrage Withdrawal Syndrome" but we ALL need to move on while the courts hold the criminals accountable for January 6, a Commission finds out what it can about Trump's actions on Jan 6, and Trump screams in exile at Mar-a-Lago.

As a political matter, January 6 was the culmination of Trumpism. "But he fights" (almost always just for himself), and backed by a cultish support base, led us straight to that moment. And that will have to be addressed in the political process going forward.
