Recently, I & other colleagues have had a number of people reach out to us to express concern about the "Walk for Freedom" & "Jericho Torch March" planned to take place at #ableg next Saturday.
We heard & share your concerns & have taken action.

Yesterday, on behalf of our caucus, @RachelNotley wrote to the Sgt.-at-Arms at #ableg asking that he enforce all current public health orders to the fullest extent.

I also understand the concerns raised by members of racialized communities about some individuals who'll reportedly be participating & the poster's use of an image that, at the very least, strongly evokes the 2018 white supremacist rally in Charlottesville. #ableg

I've also had other reach out to express concern re: plans for a silent counter-protest by others opposed to the Freedom March and the views of the participants.
I encourage those opposed to the March not to attend & add to the #s & tension at #ableg.

Thank you to everyone who's reached out. I and all of my colleagues are committed to continuing to listen and work to protect the health and safety of everyone who calls our province home. #ableg
