why heterosexuality is NOT normalized

Evidence 1: no present-day heterosexual couples

the dream smp has several explicit romantic relationships. most notably we have karlnapity, a relationship that is both mlm and polyamorous. niki and puffy have also been romantically involved, going on dates and being promised

to each other, making their relationship a wlw one. and while still vague in status, bad and skeppy is often assumed to be married, dating, or romantically involved in some way, making them (possibly) the second mlm relationship in the dream smp. and although it was never too

clear on the canon lore, dream and fundy have made multiple references to their engagement, fundy flirting (and being generally enamoured) with dream, as well as dream kissing fundy after the former gave the latter a flower hint at the existence of a third mlm relationship.

Evidence 2: the only heterosexual couple is looked down upon

disregarding the fact that both parts of this pair are dead, wilbur and sally's relationship is one that is often made fun of. we have all assumed that it is because the difference in species, however the dream smp

is no stranger to non-human creatures being normalized in society. therefore, it is safe to conclude that the ridicule of wilbur and sally's relationship did not stem from the fact that sally is a salmon, instead it is because their relationship is a heterosexual one.

Evidence 3: eret's gay castle

eret is the king of the dream smp region, and while his status has been tumultuous and complicated, he built his castle with lgbtq+ flags adorned all over it. after king george's (temporary) takeover, he and his supporters proceeded

to destroy multiple builds in the castle, such as the flamingos, so they clearly are not fond of the previous king's decoration choices. however, they left any pride flag decorations alone alluding to the fact that they are fine with them and supports the cause.

Evidence 4: no one except fundy has an explicit pair of biological heterosexual parents

almost all of dream smp's characters have little to no background information on their biological heritage. in any other place, we can usually assume everyone's biological parents are

heterosexual, but we should make an exception for the dream smp. with questionable character heritage like sapnap (born from fire) and wilbur (son of philza and a samsung smart fridge), as well as semi human entities (puffy, ranboo, schlatt, antfrost), we can assume that

this world does not follow the same biological rule as ours. until further evidence is provided, there is no proof that a normal heterosexual couple ever existed on the dream smp.
