In all the focus on how Republicans will vote—we’ve known from the beginning—folks are missing that the public has a right to know more details about what happened on 1/6. We’ve gotten one questionable press briefing from the DOJ, if I recall correctly, & that’s it.

If we say it doesn’t matter what Dems do b/c of what GOP will do, we’re saying that neither has any obligation to pursue the truth once one side chooses to abandon it. We need folks testifying around the McCarthy call at the very least & that’s just w/ regard to Trump conduct...

...Beyond that, we still need a LOT more questions answered about the goings on w/ Capitol Hill security, the DC police, the FBI, the national guard, the Pentagon, US intelligence agencies & their possible coordination w/ white supremacist groups involved in the attack

Again, folks who think we just move forward from 1/6 & focus strictly on COVID relief are missing the magnitude of what happened & the fact that everything else, from effective covid relief to future elections, is in jeopardy b/c of the ongoing threat from the far right
