For those still following the sordid tale: It's more than a year, and there's no trail of the virus until it caused an outbreak in Wuhan. No precursor strains or intermediary host, earlier patients had no market connection, & none of the animal samples tested positive for SARS2.

In the mean time, the closest know virus to SARS-CoV-2 was traced to samples collected from a mineshaft, 1000 miles away from Wuhan, where 3 miners died in 2012.

Doctors who treated the miners concluded that their illness was "caused by a SARS-like coronavirus."

Shi Zhengli's team went on multiple expeditions to collect viruses from the mine. They were brought back, stored and studied in the Wuhan labs.

I can hardly imagine them missing out on new SARS-like pandemic viruses.

But except for RaTG13, no genome has been made public. Two critical WIV databases have gone missing.

There are numerous anomalies in RaTG13 and the #pangolinpapers, which are taken as fundamental to SARS-CoV-2 origins.

This is a huge scandal.

Moreover, WIV was known to be studying spillover potential of bat coronaviruses. They conducted experiments on coronaviruses with cell and animal models, and significant biosafety flaws were evident in their labs.

These are all facts.

Meanwhile, simultaneous construction, maintenance and renovations projects were going on in WIV.

A year after the fact, WHO was finally allowed some access to Wuhan. They sent a team vetted by the Chinese govt, and after two weeks of field visits, they prepared a report based on data vetted by the Chinese govt.

Let's just call this for what it is: an absolute farce.

No primary evidence was collected by the team. No independent audit has taken place. And no theory has been developed that adequately explains the lab proximity issue; a laboratory which specialized in studying exactly these viruses.

There is quite possibly a very simple explanation behind all of this - all it takes is a little negligence, or unsafe lab conditions.

In any case the unclear questions are too numerous to accept the zoonotic origin theory.

Or maybe all of it is just a big coincidence. Nothing to see here.

CCP is transparent, Daszak is just the beacon of trustworthiness, and there's no need to look into the labs.
