A thread... I know that many people out there will be thinking... Oh no is this Gina asking for money again🙄. I know that many just ignore my messages & scroll past. That's ok. The likes and retweets on the whole go to food & fluffyness or horrific images.
It is understandable in many ways because we want to see nice things and we want to eat nice food. This is juxtaposed to sending out the horror of the industry that is so disturbing lets face it it keeps many of us awake at night.
While all this is going on there are others out there doing other incredible things. There are those on the front line at live exports and there are those that are infiltrating farms to take footage like the great Jo Anne McArthur.
We ALL play a part and we all do our bit to change this horrific system, there are many different ways and ALL are important.
There is a another group though who do something else and their jobs are 24/7/365 for all of their lives in many cases. These are the people we need to LIFT UP as they rescue the animals from the nightmare that we fight against. Our animal sanctuaries.
One in particular has rescued a whole pig farm. We all just collectively built a huge barn to house these 91 pigs. What an incredible thing we did. They have a warm dry shelter for life. Just a few bits to finish and then we will see them snuggled up in here.
Tomorrow is Valentines Day. A load of nonsense really but millions of £s will be spent. What if as a community we make this day about our sanctuaries? 1 day a year of mass giving to those who really need it 💗
