it really does feel like the conversation around ending lockdown is geared towards nuclear families and cohabiting couples. i get we all like the pub but, when are we going to be allowed to have a cup of tea on the sofa with a friend without breaking the law?
I know summer holidays are important to people, but for those of us who live alone or people who share a house with a stranger from from Spareroom... Where is the timeline for us to be able to see a friend?
It's been *FIVE MONTHS* (and a bloody cold winter) since you could legally meet someone indoors in London. For someone with housemates they aren't close with - when will they be allowed to have a hug without breaking the law?
If you live in Leicester it has been almost a YEAR since you have legally been allowed to have someone over to your house. I mean - are we just assuming people are breaking the law, so aren't bothering with a timeline or even discussing when this might be allowed?
