There have been so many examples of evil and/or in the gop these last few years, that it’s hard to know where to draw the line. For example, Ben Sasse has been heroic of late, but wouldn’t even vote to allow witnesses in the first impeachment. Does that disqualify him from....
future leadership? At some point, there may be no “good” Republicans to turn to. (Heaven knows we can’t trust Nikki Haley’s future judgment). So where do we draw the line on forgiveness? And how many chances should people give when it comes to measuring their character? I don’t
exactly know how it where to draw the line. But one thing is clear: If you vote to acquit Donald Trump in this second impeachment, you should never receive the support of any decent, intellectually honest conservative (or, for that matter, patriotic American) ever again.
(My first tweet should have read “evil and/or COWARDICE in the gop...”)
