Prob with desk journos is that they always compile reports basis Google & some phone calls;reason why real story is lost in the process. I was silent on this issue until now as I thought that media will project correct pic- alas, they chose to use this unfortunate & malicious attempt to malign our state & remain mum on real instigators of the whole blame game- Mahima Verma & Jot Singh - both Cong folks
First things first - there is no basis or truth in the allegations levered by Mahim Verma against @WasimJaffer14 - it was all baseless/concocted story. Mahim Verma’s only relationship wd cricket is that his father used to play for CDA. I, as kid, have watched him play cricket
Uttarakhand is a highly politicised state and Cricket administration wasn’t diff either. After state came into being, 4 different associations were formed-
1) Cricket Association of Ukd of Cong men like PC Verma, Jot Singh, Hira Singh Bisht - latter two were Cong MLAs in a past

Other 3 were United Cricket Association of Sanjay Rawat, Uttaranchal Cricket Association of Divya Nautiyal & 4th one was started by CK Arya. Ones started by Vermas were limited to Doon; while United Cricket Association had presence in all 13 districts- rest 2 existed on papers
After @tsrawatbjp took over as Uttarakhand CM,he mediated between CAU and United and both merged into each other to form CAU. Later, at the request of CM, Vinod Rai committee granted affiliation to CAU but thanks to Rajiv Shukla’s machinations, Cong control on CAU continued
In the interest of promoting cricket in Ukd. CM Rawat chose not to interfere within the selection of team and thus Shukla write ran large on all general body appointments. Ex MLA of Cong from Mussoorie, Jot Singh took over as President & Mahim Verma became Secy.
Treasurer post went to Prithvi Singh Negi while Sanjay Rawat became VP and Avnish Verma was given Joint Secy post. Jot Singh and Verma conspired and got fellow Cong men, Hira Singh Bisht out. Later CAU appointed @WasimJaffer as coach who conducted 2 month long camp before IPL
After IPL got over, @WasimJaffer14 came back and began coaching Team Ukd but he started facing undue requests from Mahim Verma and team. Per some senior functionary, Verma & Co are known to select players against money, which Jaffer resisted
Secy of CAU & stooge of Rajiv Shukla- Mahim, levelled baseless & concocted allegations against @WasimJaffer14 & this one allegation served twin purpose-
1) maligned state & as BJP is ruling state so it was easier to make this allegation stuck to BJP

I request @BCCI to suspend both Mahim Verma and Jot Singh immediately as they have not only levelled baseless allegations against @WasimJaffer14 but also maligned state. They both remained true to their party and played the game @RahulGandhi & family has mastered for long!
