1) Many of you were (finally) satisfied that Trump's legal team cut loose---footloose---yesterday.

2) At the same time, you had been screaming all week, "Where is the evidence of fraud?"

3) This is my theory. No "sources."

4) I don't know how this was communicated, but I strongly suspect that before the Senate "trial" (bad term for a hoax proceeding by pustulebreeders), 10-12 of the key Republicans . . . (I think this included Cornyn, Rubes, Cotton, Ernst, Cruz, maybe Scott)

4) contd . . . got a message to the Trump legal team along these lines:

5) "We will acquit the President of the charge. But you cannot & must not 'damage' the system by claiming vote fraud. If you bring up fraud, we cannot guarantee acquittal."

6) Again, speculation, but my guess is that some of these senators themselves knew about the fraud & permitted it, nay, even encouraged it.

7) Trump is to them a spot of Gorilla Glue that got in America's hair. They would cut out a little hair so long as no one asked "Why?"

8) Now, this brings me to another, actually more difficult point:

9) Many of us were extremely concerned that the Trump vote fraud legal team was led by Rudy. He clearly seemed many steps behind.
A day late and a sand dollar short.

10) While Patrick Byrne has his own axes to grind, I think he is right about Rudy's malfeasance.

11) Here's the rub. Many of the same people who have been whining about Rudy have for years railed against Trump for not getting "more loyal people."

12) So as Mrs LS would say, Trump had a "corumdum that he had to copulate."
(Translation: A conundrum that he had to contemplate")

13) Loyalty or competence. It shouldn't come to that, but so far, it has.
