Warning, I'll be using the mcu to make my point, if only because it's the franchise the dceu keeps being compared to when detractors start whining.

In no way is this a dig at the MCU (apart from what they did to Wanda. That was a huge mistake). Kudos to Disney for creating such a huge franchise and, tbh, most of the times the characters' final looks are great. I'm happy that the fans get to enjoy so much content.

This thread is meant to showcase the complete hypocrisy coming from the bloggosphere when it comes to Zack Snyder. We all know who these people are.

In fact, you've probably seen them complaining about Darkseid's look and Superman's costume.

Where was the concerns for the source material when:

- Tony's alcoholism/past with his abusive father was disregarded.

- Sharon's role in the CA mytho was given to Peggy/Maria/Natasha.

- Wanda's jewish heritage was erased & she became a christian.

- Bucky & Natasha's past?

I mean, I'm sure I've missed a lot (i'm more of a dc girl) but you get the point. In the past 8yrs, detractors spent more time complaining about Superman not smiling enough and not wearing red trunks than they did about any of those things mentionned above.

Hell they spent more energy complaining about Darkseid in the past 12hrs than they did about any of the things mentionned above.
