Today KIM NOVAK turns 88!

To pay homage to one of the lasts HOLLYWOOD legends we will explore her filmography and collaboration with legendary director ALFRED HITCHCOCK. (Thread of 5 tweets)

KIM NOVAK is an american actress who became one of the most popular movie stars in the late 1950's.

She starred in films like 'Picnic' (1955), 'The Man with the Golden Arm' (1955) along FRANK SINATRA or 'Bell Book and Candle' (1958) starring JAMES STEWART and JACK LEMMON.

In 1958 she starred in ALFRED HITCHCOCK's materpiece 'VERTIGO'.

The movie was centered on a police detective (JAMES STEWART) who gets obssessed with a hauntingly beautiful woman (KIM NOVAK).

'VERTIGO' became a big success being considered nowadays one of the best ALFRED HITCHCOCK's movies.

Since there, NOVAK became a movie legend starring in more and more films such as 'Middle of the Night' (1959), 'Strangers When We Meet' (1960) or 'Kiss Me, Stupid' (1964).

In 1985, five years after ALFRED HITCHCOCK's dead, she co-starred in the segment 'Man From the South' from the pilot episode of the remake of 'ALFRED HITCHCOCK PRESENTS' (1985-1989).

In 2013, due to HITCHCOCK' rumours of sexual harassment she said:
"I never had a problem with him (...) I found him to be quite proper. I mean, his wife was usually there on set. When she wasn't, he didn't act any differently, but was just a decent man and a strong director."
