On our first night of Vic Lockdown 3.0, I would like to take the opportunity to say ‘Thankyou’ to our HQ workforce. The ppl who work every day with the necessarily demanding infection control procedures that keep the rest of us safe. 1/ #melbournelockdown
This diligence has seen 1000’s go through the program safely. If there is a breach, they are the ones most likely to get infected & to take it home to their loved ones. The active cases in Vic today are all HQ workers & their close contacts & loved ones. #victorialockdown
And they deserve better than to be vilified & blamed & called liars -especially not by a press that has not done its job & asked ‘What are the procedures you follow? What happens when someone arrives at Melbourne Airport? Can you walk us through the process?’ #melbournelockdown
Instead of the work they do being treated with respect & the process they go through being reported with clarity, they are used as fodder in the continuing political games. Our media have not walked us through the process - Why not? #melbournelockdown
Instead, like the contract tracers, the public, have only vague knowledge of what they do, & it is so much easier for them to be blamed & vilified when things go wrong.

To our HQ workers & their friends & families: you deserve so much better, & THANKYOU.!
#melbournelockdown
And to our Contact Tracers - you also deserve so much better. THANKYOU for the work that you do.
#melbournelockdown
To my fellow Victorians- ignore the drama queens & haters. We’ve got this!
