Now, I'm a big believer in pastors and teachers being paid a decent wage rather than a mere pittance. I've seen the damage done when churches begrudge that to their staff.

But allowing yourself to earn that kind of money - or your organsiation allowing it - is just insane.
I don't think it's necessarily inappropriate for pastors to have alternative streams of income. You may have them from before ministry, or for retirement etc.

But it may not be wise. It should at the very least be highly transparent.

And you do not need to own MULTIPLE SPAS.
I remember the moment I first got the logic of Matthew 6:21:

"Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also"

Your heart follows your money. Not the other way around. That's why it's hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven.
Tracing the timeline of this, it seems like Zacharias had more wealth than he knew what to do with before his worst offences began.

I think there's something in that.
No-one's perfect. But this all reminded me of this @JohnPiper clip. Gets it right.
