During the creative process, sometimes limitations can force us to think differently & in turn create something interesting and new. This episode was a big one. Lots of great stuff... but our air time is limited. 20 minutes of show had to go. 20 GREAT minutes! #TheBlacklist 1/

So I thought: let’s have the audience FEEL her rage blackout by suddenly smashing forward in time to after the beat down. WE lose time because SHE blacked out and lost herself. #TheBlacklist 3/
Shot at the elevator we push in, resized the mirror shot to match/parallel, & pulled out to tie them together. Then, pieces of what she did start flooding back as she wipes the blood away with cuts accelerating and music rising to overtake. #TheBlacklist 4/
In turn, the reconstruction helps tell the story on multiple levels. Like many other wonderful moments that couldn’t quite fit in this episode, the full original scenes will be available later on DVD... Ultimately, I’m proud of how it all came together! #TheBlacklist 5/
