The whole debate has been reduced to a game of one-upmanship; everyone thinks that he/she alone is the true upholder of Dharma & is trying its best to steer society’s direction as per their own understanding. Hindu society, with no 1 book/prophet will always face this situation!

Another outcome of Hindu society’s 1200 yrs long war of resistance and resilience, that no one talks about, is that this war has made us find enemies all around us- more so within us. That, with the “me the only upholder of true dharma” feeling is a dangerous cocktail!

Hindu Society, had its several moments of renaissance and through every such moment, we had no absolute power (barring not so long moments in history) and hence all we knew was how to fight. One such moment of renaissance for our society was SriRamJanmBhumi movement!

That one movement saw the rise of BJP; as BJP leaders spearheaded that movement so they earned the tag of Hindu Nationalist Party. Society began rallying behind this party and saw it as a vehicle of its aspirations ans needs.

As society began rallying behind BJP, results started trickling in via electoral victories- municipalities, assemblies, parliament victories were followed by ascension of ultimate- the seat of Delhi. But that first sweet victory was a weak on and needed crutches to stand tall!

Power was lost and was followed by a decade of decay. All through this roller coaster ride, the environment in which society function/ conducts itself and the rules thereof kept changing and so was world around us..... at a speed like never seen before.....

Society again found its calling in a party and the leader- handed them victory. By the time power was assumed in 2014, the environment-be it external or internal- had changed drastically; so much so that it was NOWHERE close to what “ABV’s Govt on crutches” faced!
