I think we can sometimes blur the line between faith and superstition without meaning to. We try to do and say the right things, so that the right things will happen (and hope that we don’t do or say the wrong thing, because…).
We put our faith in our circumstances and declare God “not good” if what is happening to us is bad or difficult. We approach God with fear, or allow our fear to keep us from approaching Him at all.
But there is so much grace when we can’t even get faith right. Because what saves us isn’t a perfect faith, but the wonderful person of Christ.
