I noticed I’ve subconsciously been keeping my thoughts and overwhelming love for Alphinaud because I don’t want antis trying irritate me so I just thought I’d share a few thoughts.
I think it’s really silly to think that he is able to lead, sitting at the table of the leaders of the Eorzean Alliance, give out orders to us, and the scions, that we all listen without hesitation but draw the line of adulthood when it comes to him being in a relationship.
Sure, he is still inexperienced, but he’s not a baby. He’s allowed to be in vigorous political debates and fights with us but heaven for bid he smooches WOL lmao. I’m really tired of the infantilization of the Leveilleur twins.
Not only are they fictional but to compare them to a teenager in real life it’s like comparing apples and oranges. Real life teenagers experiences do not compare to these fictional teenagers in this highly fictional world.
Furthermore it’s canonly stated in the game that Alphinaud has already been in relationships with women and often tried to woo them with his artistic prowess lmao
Lastly, as uncomfortable as it makes antis feel it doesn’t negate the fact that Leveilleurs are adults in society of this world. They are allowed to drink, make decisions for themselves, and put their lives on the line. Then they can be in relationships. *Insert mic drop here*
Also just a personal thing to add, I sincerely thought Alphinaud was like 22 when I first met him.
