The impeachment trial is woefully incomplete without examination of the role Trump's close friends and advisors -- esp Roger Stone, Michael Flynn, Steve Bannon, and Lin Wood -- played in intentionally inciting violence with Trump's knowledge and approval
Trump pardoned criminals Bannon, Stone, and Flynn before the Capitol violence. All three were also key to Trump's illicit 2016 election win. Their calls for violence if Trump loses date back to 2016 and were even more blatant in 2020. Trump fully embraced their incitement.
In a December @gaslitnation, I worried about Jan 6 violence based in part on observation of Lin Wood's Twitter account, where insurrectionists were being recruited. Wood spent 2020 litigating on Trump's behalf while encouraging violence online. https://twitter.com/sarahkendzior/status/1346892302455885829?s=20
