aesthetics & creativity have been improperly marginalized in trademark cases. two early cases holding durer COULD control use of his monogram have been treated as proto-copyright cases, but they look more like proto-trademark to karol. #wipip2021
why do you want to make this a trademark thing? why is the monogram more like a trademark and less like a false advertising or a copyright [management info?] issue?

the durer story is one about mechanical reproduction. durer is both the artist & the manufacturer, & there's something about that dual existence that's relevant here.
