I noticed that a lot of “Sikh Twitter” topics are usually political, historical, or involve advanced theological discussions. Many may feel left out that they don’t have the knowledge to participate and overcompensate in the “aesthetic” to try and fit in...
I’ve personally seen this overcompensating in real life and it is confusing for those that learn about Sikhi on twitter to adapt to most samprdaic based social circles. Arguments and conflictive debates have no place in Sikhi (read the 4 types of charcha)unless there’s a problem
Sikhi is less about talking and more about doing. We need to get people to do the “doing” part... how to do Simran, how to read Gurbani, etc. I’m a beginner myself in this infinite ocean of knowledge and I don’t have the experience to talk about deeper intricacies...
But I do know this; Sikhi starts with Jap Ji Sahib and ends with Jap Ji Sahib. All bani, all Sikh history, all topics (even khalsa raj), questions... it all comes from Jap Ji Sahib.
To help spread the Love of Jap Ji Sahib, I’ll be simplifying the deeper meanings of Jap Ji Sahib for those that are tired of the limited english, want something a bit deeper, and yet can’t find it. Either through ignorance, language difficulties, or time.
So please follow and take only 2-3 minutes to read the threads on the deep mind boggling wisdom of Gurbani. Also share and retweet whenever you come across these threads for that someone out there looking for this. There’s nothing to lose.
All mistakes are my mistakes due to my ignorance and ego when translating the perfect traditional meanings of Jap Ji Sahib from Sant Gurbachan Singh Ji Bhindranwale and Kavi Santokh Singh Ji.
